Have you heard about this thrilling news that MIT created an imaging system that even light moves slow or as most call it the ultimate slow mo’ video?
If no , then feast your eyes, ears and entire body on this tantalizing, funky, unbelievable, and mind boggling info.
Well, as you (including I and probably the entire world) might have expected the geniuses at MIT are at it again, but this time they went overboard. These people finally created a device that showed the face of the fastest thing yet known to mankind. Well now they’re like “wait hold on, I think it’s time for us people to take a selfie with light” and boom!!! They built the amazing TRILLION FRAMES PER SECOND IMAGING SYSTEM that works in ways my eyes crisscrossed when I first read about. But to give a peak of the flickers I understood “This system creates images that are fast enough to produce a slow-motion video of a burst of light traveling the length of a one-liter bottle, bouncing off the cap and reflecting back to the bottle’s bottom.” And don’t get me started on how the world can utilize it. But I leave that for you guys to contemplate.

I was literally about to fall over when I entered Savor. It was noon and I had been walking for the last hour in the blazing sun. The cool air in the amazingly ventilated room felt great against my overly heated skin. It was spacious, had simple furniture and was the perfect place to relax and cool down. And then, I saw the display. Belew! Although Savor has many choices, my eyes immediately zeroed in on the ice cream. I took a cone to have with my ice cream. One of the many things I really like about Savor’s ice cream is the cone. It’s a deliciously made biscuit that you could enjoy even without the ice cream. Another thing I really like is their generosity. They’re not stingy like some ice cream places who give you the bare minimum required to be called a scoop. At Savor, they pile it so high you forget it’s just one scoop. I’m sure I’ll be going back there pretty soon. Try it, the ice cream will make you scream.

You walk into that cute small place and all your senses are awakened.
First, you see all the waiters running here and there. Then you see around to get your eyes stolen by the white thick cheese stretching off the pizza and into the mouth of one lucky person. Visual satisfaction? CHECK!
Waiting for your order you can hear music in the back of your head. Loud enough for you to recognize the song but not too loud that you can’t have your own conversation. Just Perfect. Auditory satisfaction? CHECK!
Here comes the best part, the pizza comes! First thing that strikes you is the smell. You smell the cheesy, hot smell the moment the pizza arrives. Olfactory satisfaction? CHECK!
Then you pick a slice. The hard texture on the bottom and the soft and moist texture on top just gets you on another planet. Tactile satisfaction? CHECK!
Excuse me but this one has got to be the best part. You actually take a bite. Oh, good God. It’s hard to put this one in words. It’s like a bomb has been set off in your mouth. Taste Satisfaction? CHECK!
I think everyone should go at least once. Because it’s a given that you’ll go again and again once you have gotten a taste.

What is known today as Muday Charity Association started out sixteen years ago as Fresh and Green Academy, a business where the founder Muday Mitiku taught children in the neighborhood. Over time, more and more children who could not afford to pay the school fee joined Fresh and Green. This caused discontent among the parents who paid for their children’s tuition but Muday stood her ground. She was determined not to turn anyone away because of financial need. Eventually, the number of students learning for free increased and the school became a non-profit organization.

Muday Charity Association has continued to support children from impoverished backgrounds by providing education and all their basic needs. The association provides school uniforms, three meals a day, clothes, school materials and covers medical expenses for every child it supports. Muday also cares for 17 orphans who live and learn there.

Needy children are not Muday Charity Association’s only beneficiaries. The Mothers’ Cooperation, which is under Muday Charity Association, focuses on helping women become economically independent. Most of the women it supports are the mothers of the children the association educates. The women, who are survivors of many difficult conditions, are trained in various income generating activities such as pottery and weaving. Their products are sold to raise money and the association helps the women cover their housing and medical expenses and provides them with three meals a day.

Currently, Muday Charity Association has 739 beneficiaries. The association funds its endeavors to help the needy through donations and the contributions of the founders. Because the number of mothers and children it supports is constantly increasing, Muday Charity Association welcomes donors and volunteers. Anyone interested in helping out at Muday can participate in a number of activities. Volunteers help out by teaching the students during summer. They can also spread the word about Muday Charity Association by distributing brochures and stickers. The association also has fundraising campaigns volunteers can participate in. Those who have IT skills can help out at the office and with the computers the students use. Whatever your talents are, or even if you have none to speak of, you can contribute to Muday Charity Association’s efforts to improve the lives of the women and children under its protection.
